Janni travels by bike from Tokyo to a campsite in Chiba. After staying the night, she then tries to fulfill her dream of becoming Tarzan at Forest Adventure Chiba.

Camping in peak Japanese summer doesn’t sound like the most fun activity - especially when you also need to concentrate on shooting - but it’s a testament to us as a team that we still had a lot of fun and laughs throughout the night. There’s something quite special about camping in Japan in general, hearing the various cicadas and bugs sing throughout the night. Hopefully through watching the episode you can feel those vibes and it encourages you to try it for yourself.
真夏の日本でキャンプをするって、正直そこまで楽しそうには聞こえないですよね。しかも撮影もしながらとなると、なかなかハードです。でも、それでも夜通し笑いが絶えなかったのは、やっぱりチームとしての力だと思います。 日本のキャンプには独特の魅力があります。夜になると、セミや虫たちの大合唱が始まって、その音に包まれながら過ごす時間は本当に特別なんです。エピソードを通して、その空気感や雰囲気が少しでも伝わって、「自分もやってみたいな」と思ってもらえたら嬉しいです。

Originally I was to join Janni at the camp site, but we actually reserved the wrong size car! There wasn’t enough room in the car for me to go on the initial trip with all of the equipment in the back seat, so I missed out on eating the yummy camp fire bread. Athletic challenge parks are a Japanese outdoor staple. If you are physically up for it, I can’t recommend it enough! Even if you are not, many have shaded places to rest and have a cool drink while you wait for your group to finish.
本当は最初からヤンニと一緒にキャンプ場へ行く予定だったのですが…なんと予約した車のサイズを間違えてしまいました！後部座席が荷物でいっぱいで、最初の移動に乗れず、あの美味しそうな焚き火パンを食べ損ねることに…。これは本当に悔しかった（笑）。 アスレチック系のチャレンジパークは、日本のアウトドアでは定番のひとつ。体力に自信があるなら、ぜひ挑戦してみてほしいです！もし参加しなくても、日陰で休めるスペースがあったり、冷たいドリンクを飲みながら仲間を待てたりする場所も多いので安心ですよ。
